What to Bring Whale Watching

The following is a list of recommended items to bring for during and after your whale watching tour.

Please note: these are not mandatory. However, they are recommendations from our experienced staff.

During

  • Sunscreen (extremely important!)
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses (extremely important!)
  • Warm clothes: please note that if it is a hot & sunny day then it is still advisable to bring warm clothes, just be sure to bring clothes that can be stripped down easily.
  • Snack
  • Water
  • Camera (be sure to have a case to protect the camera)
  • Film!
  • Warm shoes
  • Sea sickness treatment... just in case!
    (i.e. gravol, sea sickness patch)

After

  • Change of clothes
(in case of the rare occurrence where you happen to get overly wet)

What NOT to do!

  • Try not to consume much coffee! Some of the inflatables have onboard toilets (heads), however, they are best used emergencies.
  • Do not bring a small child onto the inflatables. All inflatables require that the children be 10 or older. If you wish to bring a child on a tour then the Cabin Cruiser is the only option.
  • If you are worried about sea sickness it is often a good idea to have something to eat before you go on a tour. This is because an empty stomach causes hunger pains which ultimately leads to nausea whether you are on the sea or not!
